PS1/PSOne Controllers

The Controllers below represent the controllers I have in my collection. I have built this list on Memory but should be fairly accurate.

The AsciiWare Controller was an awesome find in an awesome deal I got. I think they made this controller so I could get my Tekken on. LOL Very heavy controller made it possible to act like you were playing at an arcade. Very Durable and Sony licensed it. It has turbo settings which is great if you want to cheat. Cheating is bad!

 

 

I have a set of the Wireless Docs as well. I found these at goodwill in 2005-2006 and they work really well. Batteries seem to last forever in them. Which I could find a dual Shock Version. Do you have one or know where one is? E-mail me!

 

 

The Dance Dance Revolution Pad was purchased with the game sometime ago. This game sold very well due to the great arcade version of the same game. My daughter used to play this every time we went to Long Beach, WA

This is the Basic controller for the PS1 if I remember right it only came in gray. When I first played this controller it just felt right. Plus the fact that it didn't hurt my hand either.

 

The Dualshock controller really upgraded the game play experience. Offering vibration to go along with the stereo components of a game. Then the addition of dual control with the analog sticks made for very in depth game play. Games like Spyro and Gran Turismo were among the first games to support this controller. They also re released Resident Evil 2 in order to take advantage of this controller. I have many colors of this controllers including red, Orange, White, Gray, Blue and Green.

I have a large variety of 3rd party controllers as well. Companies like Mad Katz, Penguin and Performance made a ton of after market equipment for the PS1. With the popularity of the system you couldn't blame them. The third party equipment was very bad however. On that note I do have one PS1 controller that is off brand and one of my favorites to use.
